Overheard at AWP #483: “Who? Don DeLillo? Who’s Don DeLillo?”

Chris Cooper Reads PBQ!
Yes, we are as happily surprised to see him at AWP as you were. Reciprocal fandom is nice. This is Chris, smiling, just so you know…
PBQ Intern’s First Time at AWP!
As an AWP virgin, my first time at the conference was practically pain-free. Another Painted Bride intern and I picked up the 6th Annual Print of Painted Bride Quarterly straight from the printing center, packed up the car, and hit the road.
AWP Postscript
Here’s the trouble with Associated Writing Program’s Annual Conference: It ends.
It ends, and then we are left to process everything we learned, remember every moment that blew us away, hang on to all of those words.
We’re Going to Boston for AWP!
Come see Painted Bride Quarterly at Booth 1209 during the AWP Conference! Our staff will be available for photographs and discussions! Gain bragging rights and be the first to buy our hot-off-the-printers Painted Bride Quarterly Print Annual 6. We will also be selling our previous issues, magnets, stickers, and enough swag to make your literary friends jealous!
Perch Pub brings out AWP’s Best
Our Perch Pub reading on Tuesday, November 13, made us feel a bit like we had fallen down the Pub’s spiral staircase rather than walked up it—so many people we normally only see at AWP were there!!! Thank God Perch Pub has windows on the Avenue of the Arts, or we would’ve thought we weren’t in Philadelphia anymore!
