Richard Prins: God take off your mask

February 13, 2013 by PBQ

I'll fight you no dirty
tricks I promise no yanking
your horsehair beard
            God take off
your mask I'll fight you fair
won't gnaw your jackalpointy
ears God take off the mask
I'll slapbox your antslurping
nose God flip off
that mask I'll kiss the snake God
            take it off
            let me
            see you
scared muddy O naked lord
                        rip off
your mask & I wrestle
                              with all your angels
amber-greased dove-voiced angels
take off their gowns
            & pin me
down to my green quilt writhing
                        angels slip off
their figleafs strangle me
pin me down
            I'm arching I'm
arching I'm lost
