Max Lasky is a poet from New Jersey, currently living in Tallahassee where he is a PhD student in creative writing at Florida State University. He earned his B.A. from Ramapo College, his MFA from the University of Maryland, and has received scholarships to attend the New York State Summer Writers Institute at Skidmore College and the Summer Seminar for Writers at Sarah Lawrence College. His poems have been published by Frontier Poetry and have won the University Prize sponsored by the Academy of American Poets. He is the co-founder and editor of the literary magazine, Leavings (leavingslitmag.com).
