Constant Laval Williams is a Los Angeles-born poet and former resident of Paris, France, where his writing first came of age. He studied Creative Writing at the University of Southern California where he received the Beau J. Boudreaux Poetry Award, judged by Nick Flynn. He currently works as a staff Reader at Ploughshares and will be pursuing an MFA at the Iowa Writers Workshop starting in the Fall of 2022. His poetry has appeared in Sugar House Review, The American Journal of Poetry, Bellevue Literary Review, december magazine and Hotel Amerika, among others.
