P&P a Full House at May’s Slam

May 30, 2013 by PBQ

O, how our hearts soared when we got to the Pen & Pencil Club for our last Slam and the place was already packed!

Malwina talked about her period, but only because there’s an app for that, and no need to “throw your genitals into the whole mess.”

The first round found many, many pieces in which poop figured, though none of the writing was as crappy as this pun.may slam

An elephant was in the room, so we wrote about it:

Used to be we pitched our world
on an elephant’s back.
She flung her ears, wagged her tail,
strutted a picturesque
burlesque high kick
on wrinkled ankles–
I miss that elephant now.

—Kelly McQuain

Michelle said something about squandering youth, but I can guarantee you, spending a night at the P & P with these people is no waste of time. Thank you, Michelle and Leah, for becoming our new best regulars and setting the bar higher for Bryan.  (The fix has been in for Bryan for far too long).

The prompt: “There’s one thing I know to be true” gave us a central dogma that we would truly live the rest  of our lives by, if we could only remember what they were…

Why don’t we film these things?!?!?!
