Patrick Cabello Hansel has published poetry and essays in Fire Ring Voices, Parachute, Turtle Quarterly, Main Channel Voices, Alalitcom, The Cresset, Sojourners, The Other Side, Crossing’s Poet/Artist Collaboration XI and Philly Edition ’99, the celebration of Philadelphia poets sponsored by The American Poetry Review. He was one of four poets selected for the 2008-2009 Mentor Series by the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, and is currently a Minnesota State Arts Board recipient. His novella “Searching” was serialized in the monthly Alley News in Minneapolis. His poem “Quitting Time” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2011. He is a Lutheran pastor and has served in inner-city communities in the Bronx, Philadelphia and currently in Minneapolis, where he lives with his wife Luisa and daughters Natasha and Talia.
