you are red I am blue
It is an electro-
magnetic field
one cannot see it
but one can feel it There are zones of
invisible foam rubber balls stand-offishness and zones of
unmanageable elastics inevitable attraction I get dizzy
the doctor’s nail is jaundiced as now a neck a knee place and time
a dampness disappear
between pant-waist and shirt
Vowels are red boys are blue
noise in the airstream vectoring
the girls sing The girls can’t come along
but then the boys come to gym today
the boys disconnect inhibit close off they sit on the bench and stare
oooh say the girls the boys fall down
the boys say of for spore more store stool noises resound
cast snowball of doubt into
the girl’s blood
