Jill Birdsall Awarded Gertrude Stein Award

Gertrude Stein Award in FictionJill Birdsall’s short story Oker’s Pond, part of her most recent collection, appears in Painted Bride Quarterly Print 6 as a part of Issue 85: Displacement, (which will be back-up online again shortly).  We are pleased to announce that another story from the same collection has just been awarded first prize in the Gertrude Stein Award judged by Rick Moody for Eckleburg.
