Jen Karetnick is the author of three full-length poetry collections, including American Sentencing (Winter Goose Publications, May 2016) and The Treasures That Prevail (Whitepoint Press, September 2016), as well as four poetry chapbooks. Her poetry and prose have recently appeared or are forthcoming in TheAtlantic.com, Guernica, Negative Capability, One, Prairie Schooner and Spillway. She works as the Creative Writing Director for Miami Arts Charter School, the dining critic for MIAMI Magazine, and a freelance lifestyle journalist. She is also the author of the Les Dames d’Escoffier M.F.K. Fisher Excellence in Culinary Writing Award-winning cookbook, Mango (University Press of Florida, 2014). She lives in Miami Shores on the last acre of a historic plantation with her husband, two teenagers, three dogs, three cats and fourteen mango trees.
