“I was brought up and still live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia so I rely on imagery derived from the natural landscape and country life to explore human relationships. I have been an architectural woodcarver for over 35 years and have written numerous articles and three books on the subject. My poetry has appeared in many print and online journals: Shenandoah, The Fiddlehead, The Lyric, The South Carolina Review, Cold Mountain Review, The Comstock Review, Southern Poetry Review, Atlanta Review, Poetry Quarterly, The Dalhousie Review, Appalachian Heritage, Plainsongs, Snowy Egret, POEM, and online, Rise Up Review, Verse-Virtual, Rotary Dial, and Mojave River Review. My forth book, a collection of poetry, AS PUS FLOATS THE SPLINTER OUT, (2018) is available from Kelsay Books/ Amazon.” -Fred Wilbur
