June 9, 2014 by PBQ

Ellen Geist’s short fiction has been published in numerous magazines and journals, both print and online, including Women in Judaism: A Multidisciplinary Journal, Commentary, Big Bridge, River Styx, and The American Voice. Her work was selected for the anthology, Pow Wow: Charting the Fault Lines in the American Experience–Short Fiction from Then to Now, edited by Ishmael Reed and Carla Blank. A completed novel-in-stories is under consideration. She and her daughter, Sasha Geist, are currently co-authoring a young adult novel set in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where Ellen grew up. “Poor Us” is from a group memoir titled Red Heads/Red Tales.
