Edward O’Dwyer (b. Limerick, Ireland, 1984) is widely published in journals and anthologies around the world. He was selected for Poetry Ireland’s Introductions Series in 2010, and has been shortlisted for a Hennessy Award, the Desmond O’Grady Prize, and the North West Words Prize, among others. He has also been nominated for Pushcart, Forward and Best of the Web Prizes. His work features in The Forward Book of Poetry 2015 (Faber & Faber). He has also edited two anthologies of poetry, Sextet (Revival Press, 2010) and Sextet 2 (Revival Press, 2016). He has performed his work in many places in Ireland and around Europe, including representing Ireland at the Poesiefestival in Berlin in 2012 for their European ‘renshi’ project. His first full collection of poems, The Rain on Cruise’s Street, is published by Salmon Poetry (2014). A new collection will be published by Salmon Poetry in April 2017, in which the two poems published here appear.
