Dara Wier: A Lapidary Rendezvous in a Mind’s      Smoother Regions

May 13, 2011 by PBQ

Fine static barely buzzes in brushed down silence, a bristling
Silence with an air of expectation. We’re expecting you for a
Visit. We’re anticipating your arrival. We’ve done all we can to
Fathom you weightless. In countless ways have we ushered,
Have we swept and we have removed all barbs and hooks, splinters
And sharp edges. There’s nothing to keep you or catch you or
Stop you from thinking your thoughts along lines as you choose.
If you choose to think nothing that is your privilege and we can do
Nothing to stop you. Remotely we’ll remain off in the shadows
And remotely we’ll continue to monitor the strength of your signal.
Your current signal is standardized at a frequency of 440 hertz.
According to our most recent calculations this makes you useful
And accordingly beautiful. You will fill our minds with narcoleptic
Tendencies. Tender you are where you’ve been damaged, are we.
