Brett Elizabeth Jenkins: Recycle, Reduce, Reuse    (And Close the Loop)

February 5, 2015 by PBQ

I have spent all day again on the internet, finding things out.
I find out new things so I can forget old things. A thing I have
forgotten is the combination to my locker in high school. A thing
I have not forgotten is the words to every pop song that was on
the radio the spring break we drove to Florida. When you drink
a Diet Coke and it’s empty and then you try to put your anxiety
inside the empty can, it sometimes works. My recycling bin is full
of anxiety. When you recycle anxiety, it goes out and around
the world. You might be sitting on a picnic chair that is partly made
of my anxiety. Right now in Texas a man lets out a fart that
reverberates off my anxiety. This speaks to me on a very deep level.
