Babo Kamel was born in Montreal, Quebec. She has lived in the United States for the past 30 years. Her work has been published by the Greensboro Review, the Grolier Poetry Prize, Rust + Moth, CV2 Abyss + Apex and other literary journals. She was the winner of Lilith Magazine’s Charlotte A. Newberger Poetry Prize in 2011. She holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College. She now lives in Florida, with her husband, and is very happy to have given away her winter clothes.
