First Person Arts Grand Slam performance winner, Andrew Panebianco will visit Drexel today, reading for two writing classes, as well as engaging the group of students in a mini story slam of their own. The goal is to not only give students to opportunity to listen to the works of a pro, but be able to learn from example. In addition to voting for their favorite of their classmates’ impromptu work, students in attendance will be asked to analyze their decisions behind applauding one piece over another. This way, students get hands-on experience not only performing impromptu work, but also being able to identify the fundamental strengths of winning work. A former English teacher turned advertising copywriter at The Brownstein Group, Andrew enjoys inventing words, writing non-fiction, and of course, storyslamming. He will bring his creativity and expertise to the Intercultural Center (Lower Level) from 3:30 to 4:50 today.
We hope to see you there! Email pbq@drexel.edu with any questions.
