Andrew Keller rocks October Slam, Bam

October 28, 2012 by PBQ

Andrew KellerWith all the paper skeleton decorations on the walls contorted into different sex positions it was already set that the Slam on October 25th was going to have some of the subtle oddities that the season brings. Senior Editor of PBQ and guitarist in the band Hermit Thrushes, Andrew Keller, hosted for the first time one of our Slams at the Pen and Pencil Club. He really carried out a rhythm as host and the whole evening just rocked like blues. The bar was hopping and thoughts were open. The poetry that night touched on a wide spectrum of themes and emotions. New readers were coaxed up on to the stage with the camaraderi that consumed the room. The definition of “open mic” was validated by us that night and it was quite the greeted trick and wonderful treat!
