Alyse Knorr: Golden Record

October 27, 2014 by PBQ

World language greetings

This is a present, a token. We are attempting
to survive. We hope. We face. We step out.
We know full well. Let there be Hello!

To everyone—Are you well? Regards.
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen,
whoever you are. Hello from the children

of planet Earth, from the Earthlings,
from the third planet Earth of the star Sun,
from a computer programmer in the small

university town of Ithaca on the planet Earth.
May all be greetings. May time bring us together.
To those who are friends: peace, health

and happiness. Many years,good wishes,
honors of the morning. O great ones, residents
of far skies, we very much wish to meet you—

have you eaten yet? If you’re free please
come and visit. This world wishes across
space. Dear friends, we are happy here

and you be happy there. Long live.
longevity. Welcome home.
