Alex Watson: Self portrait as an A train car

September 16, 2022 by PBQ Leave a Comment

with the right scraps i’m brilliant

trash lines my tracks i ‎‎‎‏‏‎         ‎get lit

tell that joke           the one no one

goes in          that guy with a body

that’s rotting inside             so she

can be herself here                  piss

drunk taking a bump         off her

best friend’s                         longest

nail express after eleven        two

girls with a country           of seats

to themselves interlock at ankles

hurled into          higher darkness

the break              the steel escape

the long dark  body underground

approaching         my metal chest

they ask me                        to open
